Abstract: | : | The speaker will give a broad overview of several of Intel’s latest products and technologies. Exciting recently released microprocessors and their constituent advancements in power, performance, thermals and form factor will be covered. Microarchitecture advancements in CPU Core, cache hierarchy, interconnects and memory subsystems will also be touched upon. The speaker will share several details about Intel’s power-efficient GPUs and Media accelerators, advanced storage solutions and tools and methods for platform analysis and tuning. Finally, long-range research directions and opportunities that are consuming the attention of Intel Labs will be elaborated on. Speaker Bio: The speaker Sreenivas (Sree) Subramoney is Director of Microarchitecture Research Labs-India and a Principal Engineer. In his 19 years at Intel, Sree has worked in various product engineering and research roles in domains such as operating systems, application performance analysis, virtual machines, compilers and CPU/GPU architecture. Sree was one of the lead CPU Architects of several families of microprocessors including Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Skylake, Kabylake and Canon Lake. Sree has an MS in Computer Science from the Ohio State University, a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and 20 patents granted or pending. |
