| Abstract: | : | There are several infinite graphs associated with surfaces that combinatorially encode the simple closed curves on them. These graphs play a central role in the study of symmetries, topology, and the geometry of surfaces. In this talk, we will introduce one such graph, namely the curve graph, and some of its derivative graphs. We will discuss some basic properties of these graphs and their importance in the field of geometric topology. |
