Abstract: | : | The seminar will emphasize the crucial role of V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communications in the successful deployment and operation of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs). It will provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities of connected and automated driving, with a particular focus on the potential of V2X communications technologies. In this context, a brief comparison of IEEE 802.11p and C-V2X access technologies and their performance will be presented. The seminar will then present and analyze in detail the concept of cooperative perception for CAVs and explore how different V2X algorithms can contribute to improving its scalability. Detailed analysis and insights will be shared to highlight the significance of this concept and its impact on connected and automated driving. |
