So far, we have been tied to a keyboard or touch interface to interact with our applications. Alan’s vision is to enable everyone to have natural voice conversations with any application, freeing everyone from the constraints of the current generation of interfaces. Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant have been in the market for some time and can only do simple domestic tasks, like finding the weather, setting a timer, finding a recipe, and other such transactional tasks. They only understand the universal spoken language and do simple voice commands. However, a word like “task†means something different for each application. The word “task†in Oil & Gas industry applications means the next work order. The same word, “task†in Healthcare, means the next patient. And for patient entry within healthcare applications, the phrase “completed the task†means the discharge of the patient or the medicine has been discharged based on the context.
