Abstract: | : | he future of interactions with any application is by voice - voice interactions that are as natural as conversing with another human. So far, we have been tied to a keyboard or touch interface to interact with our applications. Alan’s vision is to enable everyone to have natural voice conversations with any application, freeing everyone from the constraints of the current generation of interfaces. Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant have been in the market for some time and can only do simple domestic tasks, like finding the weather, setting a timer, finding a recipe, and other such transactional tasks. They only understand the universal spoken language and do simple voice commands. However, a word like “task†means something different for each application. The word “task†in Oil & Gas industry applications means the next work order. The same word, “task†in Healthcare, means the next patient. And for patient entry within healthcare applications, the phrase “completed the task†means the discharge of the patient or the medicine has been discharged based on the context. Can you ever imagine Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant doing this? Alan is the only Voice AI Platform that is doing a context-based conversational voice in any application. Here are the links to videos in Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Public Safety, illustrating how Alan provides a hands-free experience for employees to do their daily work. Alan AI pioneered Spoken Language Understanding(SLU) to enable every enterprise application to have a hands free voice interaction. Our SLU builds a domain language model by training on small enterprise data sets. It leverages the visual and dialog context to provide an accurate determination of the intent and entities in the voice conversations. You can add Alan to your application in just a few days. Bio: Ramu is the Co-Founder, CEO of Alan AI, Inc. Before Alan, Ramu co-founded Qik, which became the leader in the mobile video with millions of users worldwide when Skype acquired it.
