| Abstract: | : | Mining large datasets for generating abstractions has been in the focus for last few years. In the present talk we discuss few algorithms for mining large data in the compressed domain. The compression can be lossy or non-lossy. We discuss few algorithms along with their applications on different datasets. Also we briefly discuss on application of some them in the context of 'Last Mile' address classification problem at Flipkart.
Bio: Dr. T. Ravindra Babu did his masters and Ph.D. from Dept. of Computer Science and Automation, Indian Institute of Science. He is currently working with Flipkart for nearly a year. Earlier he worked for Infosys Research for 5 years and for ISRO for over 24 years. His areas of research interests are Pattern Recognition, Data Mining, Image Processing and Spacecraft Orbital Dynamics. He has got patents, publications and a book in the above areas. |
