Time Table and Course Slotting System
As per the IITM academic system,
each semester, once the course list is fixed, the academic staff maps courses to slots where the slots have a fixed weekly time table. That is, if a course is "slotted" in a particular slot, then the weekly lecture schedule for that course gets fixed. This mapping between the slots and the weekly lecture schedule is recorded as "timetable". The following revised slot system (with new slots) and timetable has been approved by IITM Senate to be adopted from
Jul 2017 onwards.
