Doctoral dissertation of
Balagopal (CS11D003) titled "New Circuit Lower and Upper Bounds via Combinatorial Arguments" has been selected by the CSE Dept for the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award for the academic year Aug 2015 to July 2016. The thesis work was guided by
Jayalal Sarma.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 20000. The thesis will also be nominated by the CSE Department, IIT Madras for the
ACM India Best Doctoral Dissertation Award 2017.
