Jul 1, 2015 : Revised Curriculum for B.Tech, M.Tech programs
IITM Board of Governors and Senate approves the curriculum revision submitted by the individual departments, as per the recommendations of the Curriculum Task Force 2015.
Here is an overview of the new curriculum.
One of the highlights of the new curriculum is flexibility given by the
increase in the number of unrestricted electives. A regular B.Tech student can take now 8 courses without any constraints on which department or category for the courses. This enables enormous amount of freedom for students to explore and discover their academic interests within the IITM system as a whole. The other salient features of the new curriculum include :
